Moira Post Office and General Store is situated in the Heart of the National Forest. Carol and Ady took over this successful small business in June 2007 and offer all customers a smile and a friendly welcome.

The Post Office opens Mon – Fri 9am – 5.30pm and Saturday 9am – 12.30pm.
We offer most Post Office products and services including Car Tax/MVL’s, Foreign Currency and Travellers Cheques – Euros and Dollars in stock, Travel Insurance, Homephone and Broadband, Credit Cards, Mobile e-top ups, most postage services including Special Delivery and Parcelforce (we can take parcels up to 30kg), Moneygram, Car, Motorbike, Van and Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Pet Insurance, Fishing Licences, Personal Banking (including Lloyds TSB, Alliance & Leicester, Barclays & Co-op Bank to name a few), Business Banking (Alliance & Leicester), NS&I Products, PO Savings including Growth Bonds and ISAs, Christmas Savings Club, Home Shopping Returns and household bill payments including British Gas & British Telecoms.

E-bayers are most welcome and we offer a drop and leave service for our regular customers.

The Shop opens 8am – 5.30pm Mon – Fri and Saturday 8am – 12.30pm.
We sell cigarettes, filled Smithards rolls, drinks, greetings cards, stationery, confectionery and ‘weigh-up’ sweet shop sweets, toys, icecreams and basic provisions.
We offer a dry cleaning and repairs service with an offer of £12.50 for 3 items.
We sell a selection of daily, weekly and monthly papers and magazines including the Burton Mail, Leicester Mercury and Ashby Times and we can hold papers and magazines to order if required.

We hold regular competitions for local children and we successfully held our first Photographic Competition in 2008 to acquire photos for the 2009 Moira Calendar – from which we raised funds for the RSPCA at Stretton.

We are keen to become involved in the community so if you have any ideas then please let us know. We are also open to feedback from customers in the service they receive or for any items they wish us to stock – again please let us know.
