Appearance strongly influences people’s perceptions of us in a large variety of ways. First impressions count, 55% of people’s initial perception of a person is based on visual impact – before a word has even been spoken.
However looking good doesn’t just happen, and my job is to show people how.
A large part of being an Image Consultant is styling, this is all about accentuating your positives and camouflaging the negatives. You can’t change Mother Nature but you can certainly disguise her!
Understanding what works for your body shape is the key. My aim is to draw the eye to your best parts, showing off your positive characteristics will naturally play down the negative ones that most women will only focus on. “Does my bottom look big in this?“
You will shop in a certain way as you will buy in the same places and be attracted to the same thing every time. You will be surprised at what you have accumulated in your wardrobe.
Did you know that people wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time. It is true what they say, out of sight, out of mind.
I don’t believe in wasting money on clothes, I teach my clients how to build a wardrobe not replace it. Therefore one of the first things that I will do with my clients is a Wardrobe Consultation, I need to know what they have already got before I know what they need. I assess, de-junk and renew their wardrobe. Mixing and matching to create different outfits for various occasions, as well as advise new ways of how to wear certain clothes and how to add accessories to create different looks.
Following on from the wardrobe consultation most clients will look to enlist my help with Personal Shopping, finding them the missing key pieces to complete whole outfits.
I show my clients an entirely new way to shop, including new stores, styles and colours to suit their body shape. Where to find the best pieces in terms of quality and price. As well as saving them time and stress. It really is a shopping education and a whole lot of fun!
