Welcome to The George & Dragon, a lovely 300 year old pub and dining rooms.

Steve, Peter, Ann & Margaret took over the pub in 2007 and have made enormous strides in turning the pub around, becoming a community establishment welcoming both old and young.

The emphasis is on serving good quality food, real ales, fine wines and of course, the main ingredient – a warm welcome and courtesy by attentive staff.

Our menus have been designed to accommodate a wide range of foods from burgers to fresh fish.

All our pies are ‘proper pies’ made on the premises and all contain locally sourced ingredients.

70% of all the dishes we offer are homemade.

We carry 3 real ales and are listed in the Good Beer Guide, we also stock a good range of quality wines.

If you are looking for a super Sunday lunch our Carvery is noted as being ‘the nearest to what you would make at home’.

We offer a wide range of vegetarian meals and can also offer a variety of options for those who require a gluten free diet.
