The Bull and Lion, Packington a 17th Century Inn nestled in the rural countryside between the market town of Ashby de la Zouch and the commercial town of Coalville and also in the heart of the developing National Forest
The Bull and Lion is a 17th Century Listed building in the centre of picturesque Packington just one mile south of Ashby de la Zouch.
The Bull and Lion Inn occupies a corner position in the centre of the village and comprises of a bar and lounge area, spacious restaurant and an extensive outdoor drinking area with ample parking for its customers.
Packington is steeped in the history of Leicestershire, indeed it is mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086.
The area is chiefly agricultural and Packington was historically a thriving market town in its own right.
The parish comprises of the Chapel of Snibston. Packingtons church, dedicated to the Holy Rood, is an ancient building, with a tower containing six bells. The church has been well maintained and restored over the years and is one of the focal points of the village., with one of the others being of course the Bull and Lion.
